Well here it is August and I just released my last coonie troop, for my friends on facebook, you have seen it all there.  I'll post another coonie video soon. 
It was my busiest year yet with the new heated AND air conditioned rehab cottage keeping everybody safe and sound.....
this year we have many baby squirrels, heaps of baby rabbits that I am happy to say ALL survived and were released - we really rock the baby bunny world here for sure.  About 16 (I haven't gotten caught up on paperwork) baby coonies too. Some were too sick to survive but they passed peacefully here.  We released 11 and have 2 itty bitty babies for next spring. It was such an odd year. Babies arriving a month early (thank goodness the cottage was ready) and now I have a 4 week old coonie baby - so strange.  I have to thank The Squirrel Board - a great group of folks and my 2nd Hand Fans for helping me with my cottage - it was a stress free spring and summer with that great little building. And my new favorite baby - Possums!  So many sweeties - I am now a confirmed fan.  I even do a powerpoint presentation about wildlife featuring these misunderstood critters.
